Rock Springs Run forms the boundary between Wekiwa Springs State Park and Rock Springs Run State Reserve. It eventually flows into the Wekiva River, part of Florida's first congressionally designated National Wild and Scenic River basin. The area also features the historic Ethel Cemetery, established in 1880, which was part of the old town of Ethel, a railroad stop formerly known as Moody. The cemetery has been preserved with a new entrance and fence, containing four intact grave markers.
